What is Student Council?
Student Council provides an opportunity for students to engage in a structured partnership with teachers, parents and school administration in the operation of their school. It gives students an opportunity to acquire leadership, communication, planning and organizational skills which will benefit them in their future lives. Student members take responsibility for various projects in the school and local communities.
Student Council Objectives
-To enhance communication between students, administration, staff, and parents
-To promote an environment conducive to educational and personal development
-To promote friendship and respect among students
-To support the management and staff in the development of the school and school policy
-To represent the views of the students on matters of general concern to them
-To organize and participate in fund-raising efforts for local and national charities
-To assist in the induction of new students to the building
-To assist in sporting and cultural activities
